Still a lot of time before our flight back to KL.

So, we decided to drive around the island. From one end to another. Found several quiet and secluded beaches, where the sound of waves gave me the calming effect.

After we went to several beaches at the island, we decided to do some last minute shopping. So, off we went to the city centre i.e. the Kuah Town. We had lunch at one of the roadside stalls there.

Near this stall is the famous Haji Ismail Group outlet. Haji Ismail is very famous here in Langkawi as he has many outlets selling things [and duty free items] with a cheaper price.

Still a lot more time before our flight back home. So, we decided to go to the jetty area, where they have the eagle statue.

There are also places selling souvenirs at the Dataran Lang area. I bought some fridge magnets here.
Then, we continued our journey to the airport. Whilst on our way to the airport, we saw a lookout point, we decided to stop and visit.

After a while, we continued our drive to the airport. We stopped by a lorry selling noodle soup and after a quick dinner by the beach [we missed the sunset :(], we arrived at the airport and left the car and the key as requested by the car owner.

Bought a cup of coffee whilst waiting for the flight.

And finally, at 10.00 pm, the flight arrived and we checked in, to go back to KL. I felt happy as the journey went on smoothly except for the hiccups on the first day, where we couldn’t find a decent accommodation.

Arrived at KLIA-LCCT around 11.30 pm, and rushed back home, as tomorrow I would be working.
What an amazing getaway. It was fun considering the fact that my last visit to Langkawi was almost 10 years ago. Langkawi has changed a lot in this past decade and it changed for the better.
I really hope to visit the island again next time. Perhaps for another quick getaway?
